About Us
OakCAD was launched in 1993 as a CAD Bureau, expanding into selling MicroStation and AutoCAD CAD systems.
​
Engineering is now our major training product and we have a comprehensive range of industrial specific engineering and maintenance training courses, which are certificated by ABC Awards and delivered on our clients premises.
​
In 2000, OakCAD took over the National College of Technology (NCT) and it became part of the OakCAD Training Group, focusing on providing flexible engineering and CAD training by distance learning.
​
Our main operational offices are located in Bletchley, Milton Keynes and Soham, Cambridgeshire.
​
In 2002 OakCAD was a finalist in the prestigious National Training Awards programme, gaining recognition and reward for our involvement in a four year training and up-skilling programme for a multi-national pharmaceutical company. During this period over 100 maintenance engineers attended 15 different training courses.
​
We have worked with a number of large companies and SME's to develop training courses tailored to their specific requirements. As part of this operation we were engaged by a major training provider based in London, to produce over 30 electrical training units for a new flexible learning programme. We also acted as their consultants in the development of their practical training facilities at four sites across the UK. In recent years our courses have supported an extensive apprentice training programme for a manufacturing company based in the Midlands.

In 2018 OakCAD became OakCAD NCT managed and run by NCT Online Limited.
